  • Hardcover. Condition: Proficient. fourth. Vintage Hardcover, Quaternary Edition 1926, Earle Liederman, 223 pages. Good, no DJ - as issued. Flexible, thin night blue leatherette boards. Forepart cover is decoratively embossed and depicts two male person wrestlers. Moderate shelf/border wear and soiling - corners are lightly bumped with wear. Only flaw is the front cover suffered a fold/crease that went all the way through the board and broke the endpaper. That has been repaired simply at that place is evidence of the crease on the front and the repair on the inside. All pages are clean and unmarked. Endpapers are edge-toned. Numerous photos depicting various wrestling holds and Jiu-Jitsu moves. In his early adulthood the author worked every bit a concrete culture specialist for the New York Lath of Education. Later, he tried his mitt as a boxer and a wrestler, and spent some time equally a vaudeville strongman. In the mid-1920s he became the undisputed king of the mail-order musclemen. Respectable but flawed vintage copy with enough of life left. LOC.
